4th China-Forum
Background
Austria has again assumed the Presidency of the Council of the European Union on 1. July 2018 and will continue to make important contributions to Europe's future. In addition, Jean-Claude Juncker and China's Prime Minister Li Keqiang proclaimed 2018 the Year of Chinese-European Tourism with the aim of enhancing tourism between the countries of the EU and China, which helps to intensify the intercultural exchange also on a social level. The Confuzius Institute at the University of Graz contributes with its 4. China-Forum again to a sustainable exchange between East and West.

The Scientific Advisary Council and the four centers in Graz, which were initiated and co-founded by Dr. Chen:
- Confuzius-Institute Graz,
- Sino-Austrian Schumpeter Innovation Centre,
- Sino-Austrian Electronic Technology Innovation Center and
- Center for Advanced Studies in Chinese-European Legal Governance and Politics
support the key aspects of tourism (e.g.: Green-Tourism in times of Digitization), economy (e.g.: cross-border internet trade), technology (e.g.: e-mobility and passive- und active houses), law (e.g.: legal certainty and protection of privacy), culture and society (e.g.: intercultural communication and robotics versus men).
